DORCY3D

DEV · DESIGN · DIGITAL

Hire one person. Get three.

Websites, the graphics that live on them, and the video that gets people there. I learned all three the slow way. Nothing gets lost in a handoff, because there isn't one.

Why

It's not about what you create.

It's about why you create.

What I do

Three layers. Same stack.

Full-stack in dev means one person handles the front end and the back end — what users see and what they don't. I stretched the word. Code, design, video. Still one stack. I just work all of it.

Layer 01 — Dev

Dev.

Websites and software, typed out by hand.

Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Java on the back end when a project needs a brain. No page builder ever touched any of it, which is why I can fix anything on these sites in about ten minutes — and why I've rewritten the same header more times than I'll admit in public.

Flagship build

Digital Canteen Management System

Three user roles, real logins, live order tracking, MySQL underneath. Most school canteens run on paper and shouting. This one doesn't.

Also shipped

LEX NOVA Chambers  ·  MATO GROUP LTD

Two clients, two completely different design systems, zero shared code. A law firm in three languages, and an accounting firm that needed its fee sheet to actually be readable.

Layer 02 — Design

Design.

Thumbnails, posters, shirts, logos.

It started with one event poster because somebody asked. Then there was always another event. I never decided to become a designer — I just never stopped. Now it's print layouts, streetwear graphics, and thumbnails built to win an argument with somebody's thumb.

The honest part

Version five, usually

The first four are me arguing with the type. The fifth is the one that goes out.

Layer 03 — Digital

Digital.

Video, cut for pacing.

I started editing clips of my own for fun. Then I noticed I was choosing it over sleep. That was the whole sign. Now it's reels, podcast cuts, and edits nobody asked me for. The job is to make you feel the cut without ever seeing it.

Ongoing

Oasis Talk — podcast cuts

An hour of conversation, cut until it moves like twenty minutes.

The rule

If you noticed the cut, I cut it wrong.

Where the name came from

“dorcy3d was a username. I was a kid picking something that sounded cool.”

My name is MICO Dorcy. The handle outlived the reason I chose it — people know it better than the name on my ID now. Years later it turned out to describe exactly what I do. I'd love to tell you I planned that.

Where things stand

Building

Client sites, and a toolkit that keeps growing

New builds going out, older ones still maintained. The canteen system still gets patches.

Sharpening

Motion and colour

Working on grades that still hold up when a video leaves a phone screen and lands on somebody's TV.

Available

Open for work

Web, design, video. If you've got something that needs building, this is the part where you say so.

Tools: VS Code, Git, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, MySQL, Photoshop, Kittl, Canva, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Vmix. Working languages: French and English.

Let's talk

Got something that needs building?

Tell me what it is and what it has to do. If I'm not the right person for it, I'll say so and point you at someone who is.
